Beverly Hills Casual Dining Restaurant seeks experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations. The right candidate is a service-oriented, experienced professional looking for a career with significant growth potential. This position will be responsible for the operational accountability of the
restaurant. The General Manager will also be responsible for coaching, motivating, scheduling, and managing a diverse group of employees. Successful candidates will be high-caliber, assertive performers with strong results and commitment to customer satisfaction, experience, and retention. Individuals must have a passion for food, strong knowledge of restaurant operations and finances, California labor
law, high standards of sanitation and safety, exercise independent decision-making, and the drive to grow and develop those around you.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure excellence in guest service, hospitality, and food quality
-Provide effective leadership for management and culinary teams by being engaged in daily operations, providing direction and support to achieve goals
-Drive the financial performance of the restaurant by maximizing revenues and controlling COGS, labor and expenses
-Provide a positive work environment for staff members by giving them the tools they need to be successful with open, honest, and direct communication
-Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and perform needed
repairs
QUALIFICATIONS:
-4 or more years’ experience as manager in the hospitality or food and beverage
industry
-Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a
team
-Knowledge of and compliance with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations
that pertain to human resources, health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
-Excellent written and verbal communication with a positive and outgoing
personality
-Professional, customer service focused, and solution oriented
-Capable of delegating multiple tasks
-Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced and high stress work
environment
-Ongoing current Food Safety Manager certification
-Able to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
-Able to work in a standing position for prolonged periods
-Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
-Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs; Must be available to
occasionally work nights, weekends & holidays
-P&L experience helpful, but not required
-Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
