Seeking a polished and refined career oriented, Service assistant for a large, multi-staffed house in Los Angeles. Schedule is generally 5 days a week but flexibility is key as service assistant will be on duty as needed when principals or guests are on property and be available to travel as needed. This is a busy hands on position that will have long hours on some days. Must have previous experience / training in a large, high-end home interacting with high profile clientele as there will be regular contact and interaction with principals and guests. Service assistant role is primarily focused on hands on personal service and proper management and upkeep of all household operations and protocols.
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills. Tech savvy and knowledge of smart home systems and digital programs. Must be able to anticipate needs, be forward thinking and be self-motivated.
Service assistant should have a calm, thoughtful and positive demeanor with a service first mentality. You will report to the Service Manager and attend to the needs of the family and guests in an intuitive and caring manner. Duties could include, valet, packing, shipping, ordering and handling of other needs. Oversight and cleaning of fine art, antiques, silver and china as well as general cleaning assistance to other staff members. Expertise and experience making specialty cocktails. Menu preparation, in depth knowledge of food and beverage pairings, coordination with chef and housekeeping teams for all meals, events and social gatherings. Serving meals to family and guests with ability to explain all menu items in an enticing manner.
Service assistant will keep knowledge of all family and frequent guest’s meal preferences and coordinate with chef team. Coordinating and cooperating professionally with everyone at all times is a must as this is the attitude and character trait that is expected from all household staff employees.
Discretion and confidentiality is a must. Must also be honest, responsible, courteous and possess excellent written and spoken English. Non Smoker. Must have valid drivers license with exceptional driving record and reliable transportation. Must be willing to submit an in depth background check upon conditional employment offer.
The home is semi casual but candidate will need to ascertain between semi casual, semi-formal and formal attire based on each situation or event. An exceptionally professional demeanor and appearance is required at all times.
