POSITION SUMMARY
The Butler delivers front-line concierge services, interfaces directly with the Principals, and serves as their key-point-of contact in anticipation and execution of their personal service needs and real-time requests. This role will support the family while in residence at their primary residence and will travel in support while visiting their other seasonal properties in Hawaii & Montana. This hybrid role provides personal assistance, steward/butler responsibilities, and traditional household
services support. The Butler will frequently travel in advance of the family’s arrival to ensure their homes and local staff are appropriately prepared and will remain on-site to coordinate their support throughout their stay. This role is a collaborative and hands-on position and will work closely with others to anticipate and be responsive to the family’s needs. This position will report to the Senior Estates Manager. This position will work closely with the Principal’s assistants, chefs, drivers, facilities maintenance, tech services, and security teams to coordinate and execute logistics for the home and office. The
ideal candidate will have experience providing hands-on personal service in a fully staffed, significantly sized home.

The Butler serves as the household team’s quarterback, ensuring that the home is meticulously maintained, all is in proper working order, and logistical operations are running smoothly. House management responsibilities include a daily survey of the home and interiors of all dwellings and maintenance of established interior cleaning schedules. This position is responsible for meal service, packing/wardrobe, errand running, and household ordering/stocking/shopping. The Butler
maintains and updates Principal & Guest Preference Logs and Household Manuals and ensuring the household and property staff are well-coached in those protocols.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Responsibilities – Anticipate and execute all of Principal’s real-time requests, including:
o Personal and Concierge Services – Provide top-tier service to family and guests and support their activities. Oversee guest arrivals/departures, including special requests, food, etc.
o Food and Beverage – daily meal /tabletop set-up, meal service (formal & informal), and bartending services for family and guests. Constant collaboration with Chefs/Assistants to meet family’s changing daily calendar.
o Wine – Mange inventory of wine cellar with help of Sommelier at SNGC. Educate and have proper
knowledge of wines served. Ability to open and serve wine in proper manner.
o Cocktails – In charge of mixology for the residence. Manage inventory of liquor, beers, and mixers. Create and update cocktail standards and be up to date with the latest cocktail trends and presentations.
o Wardrobe & Personal Items – Create and maintain accurate inventories, ensure proper closet organization, and provide skillful packing and unpacking services. Efficiently coordinate the dispatch and receipt of the principal’s clothing and personal items before their arrival at their travel destination.
o Travel Logistics – Coordinate with flight attendants and assist in implementing logistics for travel, including packing luggage tracking, meal service, and special requests.
o Seasonal Moves – Coordinate moves to other properties and ensure easy transitions between residences for both family and staff.
o Technical Support – Oversee home meeting set-up, track online accounts, collaborate with assistants and tech team members to troubleshoot, and test AV/IT equipment and systems.
o Etiquettes – Implement and ensure proper formal and informal high end manners are in place.

o Event Logistics – Coordinate closely with Assistants and household staff on organizing and executing events at the properties. Oversee food and beverage, table setting/service, décor, flowers, rentals. Coordinate additional staff and/or vendors as required. Supervise set-up and ensure the event’s timelines are supported, including temperature, lighting, music, talent/guest speakers, etc.
Household Responsibilities – Core areas of focus include:
o Daily Survey – Conduct a daily walkthrough of the home and the interiors of all dwellings to ensure that
each residence has a consistent feel and that the team is aware of the Principal’s preferences and daily
schedules. Ensure that homes are meticulously prepared, in working order, and ready in advance of the
Principal’s arrival.
o Documenting Standards – Create and maintain a Preference Log for Principals and guests and, in conjunction with the household management team, create and maintain current household manuals.
o Stocking & Inventory Control – Assist with Principal’s desired toiletries, personal items, etc. Oversee
inventory of household items, personal products, office supplies, linen closets, storage areas and ensure all inventories are organized and current.
o Errand-Running – Shop for household items and run errands, and perform other duties as needed.
o Air-Traffic Control – Advise team on upcoming household activities, including events, guests, and timing of particular activities so house operations can run as smoothly as possible.
o Pets – Assist with care and coordination of family pets. Execute special projects assigned by the Household management team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
o A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five-plus years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience providing concierge service within a high-service, action-oriented private
household environment with high accountability levels and proven experience supporting other household staff, including housekeepers, personal organizers, and other vendors.
o Experience in maintaining the confidentiality, safety, security, and privacy of a private employer.
o Tech-savvy: complete comfort with all standard Mac computers and internet skills including email; apps;
calendaring programs; Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel); project management/messaging tools; various online portals for scheduling; quick learner of new apps.
o Must have experience supporting complex travel, hospitality, event, and entertaining requirements.
o Must have a US Passport and the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally as required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
● Work location: Based at the primary residence in Scottsdale, AZ. Travel required. This is a live-off position.
● Hours for this position may vary depending on scheduling needs and may include some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
