House Manager/Family Assistant needed for a lovely family in Washington D.C.! (Starting Salary: $120K/annually + benefits)!

Professional house manager/family assistant needed for a busy but fun family of four on Capitol Hill that includes executive-level management of two Capitol Hill rental properties, a southern Maryland vacation property, and a small fleet of personal and recreational vehicles and watercraft. The house manager will oversee the maintenance of properties, execution of project and event planning, management of daily upkeep and functionality of the main residence, and smooth supervision and management of family operations. 

At least 3-5 years of experience as a project manager, nanny with enhanced responsibilities, executive assistant, or personal scheduler is required. 

Candidates must have 

–       A high propensity to be organized, timely, and discreet;

–       A proactive approach to working independently, solving problems, and executing plans;

–       Open, mindful, and clear communication and interpersonal skills;

–       Desire to do both sophisticated tasks like event planning, vendor, and project management and also hands-on work like assistance with laundry, light cleaning, and cooking/school lunch prep; 

–       Ability to perform or learn basic tech skills necessary for a smart house/tech-heavy family; 

–       Willingness to work with a flexible schedule;

–       A verifiable, clean driving record and ability to pick up children from school/drive to activities when needed;

Duties Include: 

–       Ensure smooth daily functioning of the main residence;

–       Oversee key tasks and project management related to southern MD vacation home;

–       Supervise property management company responsible for rental properties;

–       Management of vendors for improvement, maintenance, and cleaning of family homes;

–       Oversight of car, RV, and boat service vendors and appointments;

–       Assistance with daily upkeep of the main residence, including ordering and organizing groceries and supplies;

–       Light cleaning and food prep;

–       Once to twice per week pick up from school and occasional child care; 

–       Assistance with event planning and execution; 

–       Assistance with scheduling travel; 

–       Managing family calendar

Bonus Skills Include:

–       Proficiency in Spanish

–       Proficiency in basic computer and/or tech skills
