In her upcoming film, "Clouds of Sils Maria," Kristen Stewart will star along side Chloe Moretz and Juliette Binoche, playing the latter's personal assistant. The movie focuses on the fragility of the human ego, according to The Vancouver Sun, and this theme is taken to an extreme for Stewart, who had to play the opposite of her own experiences as a film star.
Binoche noted that the 24-year old had to play an "unglamorous role" as a personal assistant, taking details she has learned from the other end of the relationship and applying them to the part.
"Those kind of details she knows more than I do because she's in a world of paparazzi," Binoche told reporters at the Cannes Film Festival where the movie screened.
Stewart herself noted that it was "refreshing" to take a look at Hollywood from an outsider's perspective, in an interview with ITN.
"It happened to be the perfect project timing wise. Just coincidentally I think the fact, you know, just my experience with my career how it's gone, you know," said Stewart. "Twilight blew up – I'm extremely famous – it's interesting for me to play an actresses' assistant who then comments on that world, and how it works and how superficial it can be."
"Clouds of Sils Maria" will open December 1, 2014 in the United States.
