We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Estate Gardener to maintain the grounds and landscaping of a luxury private residence. The ideal candidate takes great pride in their work, has an excellent eye for detail, and understands the high standards, discretion, and consistency required in a private estate environment.
Responsibilities:
● Maintain all landscaping and outdoor areas to an immaculate standard
● Care for lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and seasonal plantings
● Mow, edge, trim, prune, fertilize, mulch, and maintain planting beds
● Monitor plant and lawn health and proactively identify pests, disease, irrigation issues, or other concerns
● Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation and sprinkler systems
● Perform seasonal planting and recommend appropriate flowers, plants, and landscaping improvements
● Maintain clean and beautifully presented walkways, patios, driveways, garden areas, and other exterior spaces
● Remove leaves, debris, weeds, and dead growth regularly
● Maintain outdoor planters and decorative landscaping
● Coordinate with landscapers, arborists, pest-control providers, irrigation specialists, and other outside vendors when necessary
● Properly maintain and organize gardening tools, equipment, and supplies
● Assist with exterior preparation before family gatherings, events, and guests
● Perform routine property walks and address landscaping needs proactively
● Respect the privacy, security, and confidentiality of the family at all times
Qualifications
● Minimum 2–5 years of professional gardening or estate landscaping experience, preferably with luxury private residences
● Strong knowledge of plants, trees, flowers, lawn care, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, and pest management
● Experience maintaining high-end residential landscapes
● Excellent attention to detail and high standards for presentation
● Proactive and able to identify issues before they become larger problems
● Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
● Comfortable coordinating with household staff and outside vendors
● Professional demeanor and respect for household privacy
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
● Ability to perform physical outdoor work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working in varying weather conditions
● Strong references and background check required
