Lead Nanny – High-Profile Private Family, Miami, FL
A private, high-profile family is seeking an exceptional, experienced Lead Nanny to provide attentive, loving, and highly organized care for their children. This is a long-term position for a polished childcare professional who can take ownership of the children’s day-to-day needs while working seamlessly within a fully staffed household.
The ideal candidate is warm and nurturing while also being proactive, structured, discreet, and exceptionally dependable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care in a warm and nurturing environment
- Take the lead in organizing the children’s daily schedules, routines, activities, and appointments
- Coordinate with parents and other household staff to ensure consistency and excellent communication
- Plan enriching activities, outings, playdates, educational experiences, and age-appropriate projects
- Assist with school preparation, homework, reading, extracurricular activities, and transportation
- Prepare and organize children’s belongings, clothing, school materials, activity bags, and travel necessities
- Maintain children’s bedrooms, play areas, closets, and belongings in an organized manner
- Oversee children’s laundry and ensure clothing and supplies are properly maintained
- Help establish and maintain healthy routines, boundaries, manners, and age-appropriate independence
- Coordinate with additional nannies or childcare staff when applicable and help ensure consistent standards of care
- Communicate proactively with parents regarding schedules, developmental milestones, activities, and any concerns
- Assist with packing and preparation for family travel
- Travel domestically and internationally with the family as needed
- Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality regarding the family and household
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of professional nanny experience, preferably within high-profile, high-net-worth, or fully staffed private households
- Previous Lead Nanny or senior nanny experience strongly preferred
- Excellent understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
- Highly organized with strong scheduling and time-management skills
- Warm, patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children
- Confident taking initiative while respecting the parents’ preferences and parenting philosophy
- Comfortable working collaboratively with other household staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to travel
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to swim confidently preferred
- Passport and ability to travel internationally
- Excellent professional references
- Background check required
