Seeking a dedicated House Manager to oversee the daily operations of the estate,
maintaining a clean and well-maintained environment. This role requires someone who can
manage staff, coordinate with vendors and has a “can do” work ethic
Responsibilities:
Housekeeping: Ensure the interior and exterior areas of the house are clean and well-
maintained at all times. This includes regular cleaning schedules, deep cleans, and maintenance of both common and private spaces.
Exterior/Interior Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the grounds,
gardens, and exterior systems, including landscaping, swimming pool, spas, tennis court,
and more. Plan regular maintenance and manage repairs for HVAC, appliances, AV,
lighting, and more. Manage all external/internal vendors to consistently deliver the highest
standard of service and output.
Scheduling: Manage the calendar for the estate, including schedules for principals, guests,
events, staff, and vendors, ensuring all activities are coordinated and timely. This includes
coordinating with the principal’s chef for scheduling principal’s and family meals.
Errands: Running miscellaneous errands including shopping for groceries and household
supplies.
Staff Supervision: Act as the senior member of all domestic staff – from housekeeping,
maintenance to weekend help,be fully responsible for their hiring, training and daily
management. Ability to fill in for domestic staff in their absence and as requested by the
principal family, this may include cleaning and light cooking in the absence of a chef.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of all furnishings, equipment, and cleaning
supplies in the house, including ordering replacements when needed.
Event Coordination: Work with chef and staff to support entertaining and events.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure all supplies needed for events are delivered on time and
the house is prepared for any gatherings or functions.
Communication: Report on estate operations to the principals and/or family office,
providing updates on the estate’s status and any issues that require attention. Serve as a
liaison between the household and external parties, ensuring clear and effective
communication regarding cleaning schedules, maintenance needs, and event
preparations.
Requirements and Skills:
Proven work experience as a House Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years
experience managing private estates.
Set a tone of absolute professionalism and confidentiality among household staff.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate various staff
members, vendors and oversee multiple projects.
Highly organized with ability to multi-task and troubleshoot 24/7.
Maintain home processes including staff manual, home operations manual, visitors and
maintenance logbook, and shopping/inventory list.
Administrative Duties.
Basic Computer Knowledge and ability to use Security and Smart Home Systems.
Strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
Flexibility to work overtime, overnight and/or travel with family, as requested.
Have an excellent command of English, fluent in Spanish
Hold a valid driver’s license and authorized to work in the US.
