EXPERIENCED LAUNDRESS / HOUSEKEEPER
Luxury Private Estate | Full-Time Position (Sunday to Thursday)
A prominent private household is seeking an exceptional, highly experienced Laundress/Housekeeper to join its established household team.
The ideal candidate will possess an expert-level understanding of luxury garment care, fine fabrics, professional laundering techniques, and meticulous housekeeping standards. This position requires an individual who takes tremendous pride in their work, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and understands the level of service, discretion, and professionalism expected within a high-profile private residence.
We are seeking a dedicated, polished, hardworking professional who is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, fully staffed luxury household.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expert Laundry & Garment Care
- Manage all aspects of household laundry, including washing, drying, pressing, steaming, folding, and proper ironing.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of luxury designer clothing, couture garments, delicate fabrics, and specialty textiles.
- Expertly care for silk, cashmere, wool, linen, fine cotton, lace, and other delicate materials.
- Understand garment care labels, fabric-specific cleaning requirements, and appropriate laundering techniques.
- Perform professional-level ironing and pressing of sheets, dress shirts, trousers, dresses, blouses, and fine linens.
- Identify and properly treat stains using fabric-safe methods.
- Maintain impeccable organization of wardrobes, closets, drawers, and seasonal clothing.
- Care for luxury bedding, fine linens, towels, and specialty household textiles.
- Maintain laundry equipment, supplies, and a pristine laundry room.
- Return all garments to their designated locations in immaculate condition.
Luxury Housekeeping
- Maintain the residence to exceptional five-star hospitality standards.
- Perform detailed daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and ongoing upkeep of assigned areas.
- Properly care for fine furnishings, antiques, marble, natural stone, hardwood, and delicate surfaces.
- Maintain immaculate bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms, closets, and common areas.
- Execute detailed bed-making, linen changes, and bedroom presentation.
- Ensure closets, cabinets, drawers, and storage areas remain meticulously organized.
- Maintain discretion and respect for the family’s personal belongings and private spaces.
- Assist with household preparation before and after guests, events, and family gatherings.
- Identify maintenance concerns and communicate them promptly to household management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience working as a Laundress/Housekeeper in a luxury private estate or high-profile household.
- Extensive knowledge of luxury garment care, designer clothing, fine fabrics, and professional laundering techniques.
- Exceptional ironing, pressing, steaming, and wardrobe organization skills.
- Experience working in a fully staffed residence and collaborating with other household professionals.
- Strong understanding of luxury housekeeping standards and proper care of delicate surfaces.
- Extremely detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and proactive.
- Ability to follow specific household protocols and preferences.
- Professional, discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent, exceptional standards.
- Physically capable of performing housekeeping and laundry care duties.
- Excellent professional references from previous private household employers.
SCHEDULE & FLEXIBILITY
Candidate must be able to work Sunday to Thursday 7 AM to 3 PM with some flexibility
This position requires someone who understands the evolving needs of a busy, high-profile household.
- Availability for holidays, special events, and extended hours may be required.
- Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to accommodate household needs.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
