If you've been following our blog, you know that we're a big fan of Kat Perkins, the former nanny with impressive vocal chops on NBC's "The Voice." Perkins proved her power once again on last night's episode, when Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine selected her as the third and final member of his team.
Perkins stole the show with her rendition of Journey's "Open Arms," earning her a spot in the final 12 on the singing competition.
"There has not been a better performance than this one," Levine said during the episode. "You're so good with those big notes," fellow coach Shakira added, as reported by The Star Tribune.
Next week, Perkins will perform live on the hit show and viewers will get to vote on who stays and who goes via social media.
During previous episodes of the show, Perkins described how much she loves her job as a nanny and even took viewers inside the home she works for. To show off her musical talents and help the children foster their creativity, she often puts on performances with them and has even created a rock band in which each child is a member.
As you can see, being a nanny allows you the creative freedom and time to pursue your other passions as well. This is the perfect job for kid-friendly individuals who love to express their creativity and entertain children.
