What is perhaps the world's most exclusive cooking club, the Club de Chefs, met in London this week. The group includes 21 gastronomic talents who regularly prepare food for the world's top leaders, working as their personal chefs. The group dined at Hakkasan Hanway Place, according to The Daily Telegraph, a British newspaper.
Queen Elizabeth's chef, Mark Flanagan, said that he had some special meals planned for the club.
"The society is about upholding culinary traditions so I'm making sure they get to try out our British classics while they're here," he told The Telegraph. "We had fish and chips today and we are also going to see how Stilton is made, and everyone is going to have a go at making Melton Mowbray pies."
The society was reportedly founded in 1977 as a way of regularly uniting the personal chefs of heads of state, giving them the opportunity to socialize and offer each other support. After all, the world's most powerful people can be picky.
